To take full advantage of the convention, delegates who live outside the Seattle metro area are encouraged to stay at the sanctioned and officially designated JEA/NSPA convention hotel, the Sheraton Seattle.
Please realize that although a March 3, 2017, deadline for reservations has been set, neither the hotel nor JEA/NSPA can guarantee availability.
Please do not book more rooms than you know you will need. Even if you cancel early, the hotels are not obligated to return rooms to the convention block. This may mean other delegates would have to pay more for their rooms in a convention hotel or that we would not “meet the block,” which could affect the cost of this and future conventions. Convention officials suggest you make hotel reservations well in advance of the March 3 deadline. After this date, the hotel may release rooms being held for the convention room block to the general public.
Room rates: $199 single/double, $209 triple and $219 quad, plus 15.6% state tax and a $2 per room night tourism tax.
Update: Double rooms are sold out at the Sheraton Seattle. You can still reserve king rooms, which fit up to three students with a roll-away bed.
You will be given access to make reservations online only after you complete your registration for the convention. The link to make reservations will be in your registration confirmation email. Registration is now open.
OVERFLOW HOTELS
JEA/NSPA have reserved more rooms at the hotels below, all within walking distance of the Sheraton. Room rates are similar to the Sheraton. You CANNOT make reservations over the phone. You must use the reservation link in your convention registration confirmation email. Do not call these hotels.
Double rooms are available at the Hyatt Olive 8 and Grand Hyatt Seattle. If you have already registered for the convention, email register@studentpress.org to get access to book rooms online.
All overflow hotels are within walking distance from the convention center. Transportation will not be provided.
